Getting the latest version of EasyCheXML. The main EasyCheXML file is EasyCheXML.exe, which is installed by default in your Program Files\Stonebroom\EasyCheXML folder. The current versions of this file are 1.1.0.11 (full version) and 1.1.0.12 (evaluation version). To check which version you have installed:
The "Too many files to show in list" message. On some operating systems (such as Windows 9x), there is a physical limit to the number of entries that can be shown in a list box, like that used to display the processing results in EasyCheXML. In this case, if the maximum number is exceeded, a message indicating this is shown. However, the log/report file will contain all the entries and results for the complete process, and they will also be shown when the report is printed. Folders that contain more than 1000 subfolders. When the "Include subfolders" option is set, EasyCheXML only processes the first 1000 subfoldes within any specific folder. In other words, if one of the folders or subfolders contains more than 1000 subfolders, only the first 1000 it finds will be processed. This limit does not apply to the total number of subfolders - there can be more than this in total when all subfolders are taken into account. Files with no extension cause a "Directory Read" error. In versions of EasyCheXML prior to 1.1.0.13, filenames that have no file extension (i.e. "myfile" instead of "myfile.xml") can cause the processing of a folder to stop with a "Directory Read" error. This is fixed in versions 1.1.0.13 onwards. A free update is available to users of previous versions. To process files with no filename extension, add a space and a period (" .") to the list of file types in the options dialog. Finally, if you've got any suggestions - or any comments on EasyCheXML generally - we'd love to hear from you. |
